Have you heard this phrase being used a lot?
What is it? What is meant by it? Who is using it?

You probably should get prepared to have a discussion about it. Because it’s coming to your doorstep very soon.
I happen to like guns. They are awesome. When used for the right and intended purposes they were designed for.
I like people. They are awesome. When they act for the right and intended purposes they were designed for.
But guns, unlike people, never just decide to get up one morning and go off. They never just jump in the car and drive down the street and start shooting at things randomly for no reason at all. They don’t decide what or who they want to shoot at. They don’t vote. They don’t care who controls them. They are just awesome tools created by human hands that can be used for good and evil.

But they will never kill anyone or anything if left to themselves. Ever.
People, on the other hand, well… They were created also. But they have the ability to decide in an instant what they want to do. What they want to use. To do good or evil. They have the ability to pick up any tool they want and use it for it’s good and proper intended purpose or to use it for an unintended purpose.
They can pick up a bat and play baseball. Or take it to the streets and use it on people
They can pick up a knife and cut their steak and potatoes. Or take it the streets and use it on people.
They can get in their car and drive to the grocery store. Or they can take it to the streets and use it on people.
You get my drift.

But I find it very interesting that most of the Leaders that are in charge of people in heavily populated cities, with the toughest Gun laws in the land, are the ones using this phrase the most. Why is that?
They have a disconnect. A serious one. An intentional one. A dangerous one.
If you happen to live in one of those cities I feel for you. But you can do something about it.
